Who operates TAXMAN?

TAXMAN is the service name. The operator’s legal name and business address are awaiting confirmation. These details must be completed before the service is presented as ready for a public UK launch.

Contact for support, privacy rights and complaints: info@taxman.live. Hosting provider: Contabo. The operator has stated that the server is hosted in the UK; the actual server location has not been independently verified.

The service

TAXMAN provides an account-based workspace to organise a 2025–26 UK Self Assessment return, record information, read supported employment documents, estimate tax for supported cases and prepare a transfer checklist. Each account currently has one active return. The service is intended for adults preparing their own information or information they are authorised to handle.

No HMRC filing or professional advice

TAXMAN is independent of HMRC. It is not an HMRC login, direct filing service, tax payment service or professional tax adviser. Completing a declaration or marking preparation complete does not submit a return or prove HMRC acceptance. You must file through HMRC or compatible software, check any receipt and meet the applicable deadlines.

Calculations have stated limits. Unsupported circumstances may produce no result. Review calculations, statutory form mappings, source records and all suggested document values. For trusts, beneficial ownership, residence, overseas matters, specialist reliefs or other uncertain cases, obtain suitably qualified advice.

Your account and records

Keep your password secure, use accurate information and do not share an account to combine separate people’s returns. Google and username/password accounts are separate and are not automatically merged. Self-service password recovery is not currently available. Do not attempt to access another account, disrupt the service, introduce malicious files or upload information you are not entitled to use.

You retain your rights in the information you provide. You allow us to store and process it only as needed to operate the service and as described in the privacy notice. Keep your own copies of records and exports; TAXMAN is not your sole statutory record archive.

Prices and payments

No online checkout, card collection or subscription billing is currently enabled. We will disclose any future paid offer, total price and applicable cancellation terms before asking you to purchase. These terms do not authorise future charges.

Availability, errors and your rights

We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the service. Availability can be interrupted by maintenance or faults. Tell us about errors so we can investigate. We do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here removes your statutory consumer rights. We do not promise that software estimates replace the checks required for a tax return.

Closing an account, changes and complaints

You may stop using the service, export your preparation records, reset your active return or contact us to request account deletion. See the privacy notice for backup retention. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse or security risks. Material changes to these terms will be communicated; they do not retrospectively authorise charges or remove accrued rights.

Contact info@taxman.live for support or complaints. If you are a UK consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
